There is a growing issue in North Korean prison camps. Forced abortions in prison camps have been an ongoing issue since 2007. There are many methods the guards use to force abortions. Some of these methods include smothering or drowning the newborns and injecting poison into the women's vaginas. There have also been reports of the prison guards jumping on pregnant women's stomachs until the baby is forced out. If you are a pregnant woman being held in a prison camp and you attempt to hide your pregnancy, the punishment is much more extreme. This cruel and inhumane thing is happening right now. One of the worst things about this issue is that the government refuses to address this huge problem. In North Korea, they do not allow mixed babies. The babies in some camps are even fed to the dogs in the camps. The reason why forced abortions happen is if North Korean women escape to China and are caught they are sent back to North Korea. If they are pregnant they are forced to have abortions.
